Frequently Asked Questions

  • We use TCGplayer market prices as our reference. TCGplayer aggregates real sales data across thousands of transactions to establish current market values for nearly every card in print. For value cards in your collection, we apply percentage-based rates (40-60% of market depending on card value tier). For bulk cards, we use industry-standard flat rates ($0.02 per common, $0.05 per holo). All rates are published transparently on this page — no negotiation, no surprises.

  • The Buying Service is for sellers who want cash for their collection — we make an offer, you accept, and we pay. The Valuation Service is for sellers who want to know what their collection is worth without committing to sell. You pay a small per-card processing fee and receive a detailed PDF report. If you decide to sell after seeing the report, you can — at our standard purchase rates.

  • Our published rates assume Near Mint to Lightly Played condition. Cards in Moderately Played condition or below may be offered at adjusted rates, depending on the specific card and how condition affects market value. Heavily damaged cards (water damage, ink, heavy creases) typically aren't accepted — not normal play wear, just cards that have been through real damage.

If you have a card you think might be a candidate for professional grading (PSA 9 or 10, BGS 9.5 or higher), set it aside before shipping. Our sorting process involves automated handling that, while card-safe, doesn't guarantee a card will remain in grade-relevant condition.

  • For the buying service: we make an offer for your entire submission as a single unit. We don't cherry-pick individual cards.

For the appraisal service: yes. After you receive your appraisal report, you can choose to sell any cards (or none) at our standard buy list rates. This makes the appraisal service useful for sellers who want to know their options before committing.

  • After you accept our offer, payment is sent within one business day via your choice of:

    - ACH bank transfer through Stripe

    - PayPal

    - Check/Cash for local pickup

You select your preferred method during the intake process.

  • Once we receive your collection, the Buying Service typically 3-5 business days from arrival to offer.

The Valuation Service typically takes 5 business days, including the detailed PDF report.

Local pickup timelines vary based on collection size and your availability.

  • Yes. We're based in Endicott, NY and offer local pickup throughout the Triple Cities and surrounding area.

Out-of-area sellers can ship their collections — we'll provide packing guidelines to ensure your cards arrive safely.

Return shipping is free if you decline our offer on the Buying Service.

  • Our published rates (40% to 65% of TCG market depending on card value) reflect the work and cost involved in moving cards through to buyers — eBay fees alone run 13-15% per sale, plus shipping costs, materials, and the time required to list, photograph, and ship each card individually.

For a seller liquidating a full collection, our rates typically come out comparable to or better than what you'd net selling on your own, once fees and time are factored in. The bigger benefit is speed and certainty — you get a single offer for the whole collection in days, not months of incremental sales.

  • Three things before you ship:

    - Set aside grading candidates. If you believe any cards are candidates for PSA 9/10 or BGS 9.5+, hold those back. Our sorting process can't guarantee grade-relevant condition.

    - Remove damaged cards. Cards with water damage, ink, or heavy creases aren't accepted and will be returned at your cost (or discarded with your permission).

    - Pack securely. Use a sturdy box, fill empty space to prevent shifting, and consider insurance for high-value shipments. We'll send specific packing guidelines after your waitlist signup is approved.

  • You're under no obligation to accept. For the Buying Service, decline the offer and we'll return your cards. The $20 deposit covers return shipping when you decline — it's refunded when you accept the offer.

For the Valuation Service, your cards are returned with your report regardless. You've already paid for the valuation, and you can choose to sell at our standard rates or keep your collection.
